How do I book an appointment?
Currently the best option is to contact the artist of your preference directly via the email address stated on their Instagram page.
How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?
You must be at least 18 years old. If you are a minor you must wait until you turn 18 to get a tattoo in Studio Sable. We do not tattoo minors, even with parental consent.
How much does a tattoo cost?
The price is dependent on the artist, size of the tattoo, placement, and the detail of the design.
The best way to get an accurate price range is by booking a (free!) consultation with the artist—if not in person, then through a brief detailed email. In order for us to quote your idea, we need to consider the subject, size, placement on the body, detail, etc.
How do I prepare for the appointment?
Make sure you are well rested and have had something to eat before the appointment to avoid low blood sugar.
Please do not drink alcohol on the day before the appointment and on the day of the appointment itself. This causes excessive bleeding during the session and problems with the healing process.
Bring your own lunch and snacks. Tattoos are less painful when your body is well nourished. In the studio there is a microwave and refrigerator available for you to use. The studio offers free coffee and tea.
Make sure to wear comfortable clothes that make the tattoo process easy. For example, a sleeveless shirt is useful for a tattoo on the upper arm, or shorts are useful for a tattoo on the leg.
Remember to stay calm and cool, you’re in good hands.
Does it hurt?
Tattooing is an intense and emotional experience. It can hurt sometimes and it depends on your sensitivity. The most important thing to know is that you have a professional team on your side that cares about your health and safety all the time.
How long does a tattoo take to heal?
It takes about two weeks for the wound to heal. It takes at least 6 weeks for the skin to fully regenerate.
Can I bring a friend to the appointment?
Unfortunately only clients are allowed in the studio during the covid pandemic. Any visitor other than the tattoo client is asked to wait outside the studio.
